Clamp Truck Simulation in the Laboratory Environment (2005)
Clamp Truck Simulation in the Laboratory Environment (2005)
Description
As the use of clamp trucks for handling packaged products increases, so to does the need for laboratory simulation of the damage potential encountered. ASTM specifies the only current procedure for clamp truck simulation, and it requires use of an actual clamp truck. This presentation discusses the construction of an apparatus to reproduce clamp truck forces in a laboratory and a comparison between actual and laboratory damage potential.
